Any thought to creating / selling Hobie parts to convert the standard issue paddle to a push pole? I have a PA 14 with the paddle and paddle handle attachment. What I would be interested in is a longer, straight paddle shaft section with a push pole foot attachment. With a few clicks, I could turn the paddle into a decent push pole for sight fishing the shallows... Yes, I could buy a stake out pole with a push pole foot or just use the paddle (which I do) but these accessories would be easy for Hobie to manufacture and be very useful for those of us that need to maneuver around the shallow stuff. |

You are absolutely are right. I use need my Pro Angler paddle more as a push pole in the tidal bays on the Potomac River when i am looking for snakeheads. I other capabilities that I need of my paddle are: A lure retrieval attachment when rattletraps catch the wind and end up in trees overhanging river banks, same item to un-snag lures when the hook tree branches under the water, and also something to recover decoys when I use my kayak as a duck hunting platform. |
