I'm about to mount a lowrance transducer into my Revo 13, but I have found conflicting information regarding installation gaps. In one video they say leave a 2mm gap, but another mounts it tight to the lowrance ready plate. Which is correct and does it really make a difference. ![]() |

If you have the "Lowrance ready hull", then a 2-3mm gap between the transducer and cover plate fills in with water, to better conduct the sonar wave through the water. |

We recommend leaving a small gap between the bottom of the transducer and the Lowrance ready plate. |

I just installed mine, and there was a small natural gap after seating the transducer in the housing. |
