Post subject:  OK to store Hobie battery upside down?

I just installed the Hobie battery kit in mt Outback. Easy to install, and seems to be very secure in holding the battery. The battery is sealed, so I don't think there would be an issue, but when I store my Outback, I store it upside down on a rack. Therefore, the battery is also upside down also. Could there be any kind of problem doing this? I started thinking about it last night, and pulled it out this morning just to be safe, but if there isn't a problem with the battery being upside down for long periods of time, i won't worry about it anymore. Thanks for the help!

The battery is a "gel cell" construction, so it will not leak.

That's what I thought. I didn't see anyway for it to be a problem, but you never know..........Thanks!

Depending on how long you are going to store it, you might want to take it out and put it on the trickle charger.

I remove mine after each outing...my Revo is heavy enough to load on top of my SUV without the extra weight. That little sucker is heavy.

We recommend pulling the battery out and recharging it immediately after each use, then unplugging the battery once fully charged. Storing your battery in a discharged state may inhibit your battery from holding a charge. Also, during periods of long-term storage, we recommend charging your battery once a month.
