So I have an opportunity to purchase a Hobie Kayak for a whopping $25. I figure it will make an interesting fixer upper/restoration project. Doesn't appear there is much left on the kayak that is operational. It looks to be an older Outback. Should I try to tackle this project or just use money I would put into this on a new kayak? |

Any holes? Is the drive operational or present? |

I don't notice any holes other than the scupper holes. The drive system is present but I would guess it is in no way operational. Rudder is also present. No seat. No paddle. |

pressure test for structural leaks first before spending any money. servicing/upgrading drive could cost mopre than value of complete set up when finished |
