Hi guys. Looking for some reviews on the Landing Gear. Seems like a great idea but expensive. Anyone have any experience with them ?

I bought the landing gear for my 2017 PA14 and really like it. Only used it twice so far and it worked very well with the heavy PA14. I just didn't like the idea of emptying my kayak and turning on the side with the Hobie cart. Yes it is expensive but I think it is worth it.

When drilling those 2 holes on eachside, do you have to remove the H-bar to get access?

Yes, you must remove it. It is easy to remove but can be tricky reaching under to attach the landing gear bracket. I followed the instructions from this youtube video and it took me about an hour to install.

If you have 2017 model the spacers provided are not thick enough. You need two on each side. Do a search on this forum and you will see what I am talking about. If you tell them when ordering they may give you an extra set with the landing gear. I had to call and they sent me an extra set but I was impatient and went to Lowes and found some for $3 because I didn't want to wait for them to arrive.

You do not have to tip your kayak on its side to put the Hobie scupper cart in. Here is how to do it> hopefully my video will post here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B56kRSx3zG4

I purchased mine for my new PA 14 and have used it twice. I love it. I have a friend with a PA 14 who has to mess with the ones that go under the kayak. Boonedox is the way to go...

This Video only has one problem that Chad only remove the back Screw from the H-Rail

Hi the easy way on Pro Angler is this take both the front and back screw out then you can turn the H-rail away when you drill the hulls

That what i did on my Pro Angler 12

I tried looking and could not find an answer... would adding the this landing gear system void the hull warranty .. since holes are being drilled? I'm trying to decide this and a cart... I'm picking up a new p.a. 14 this week.

Cracks/damage in that particular area as a result of the Boonedox landing gear installation wouldn't be covered by our Warranty program, however it does not void your hull warranty all together.

I installed the Landing Gear on a 2017 PA12 and I must say it was a PITA. I am not best with tools but seemed to take forever. However, once on they work great, these making launching and retrieving the yak very easy.
