First day with our '17 PA 12's. I purchased one of the XL Livewells for my wife's PA 12. First day on the water with it and it will not prime by itself. Tried going fast but no prime. Intake seems to be positioned correctly. If I put the livewell in the water it will pump water but not when installed in the boat. I even filled the tank half way with water and it still will not pump. I thought maybe an air leak somewhere in the intake, everything looks secure and tight. No air bubbles discharged into the tank. Zero water flow. Battery was charged for 24 hours before first use. This is a first use issue with this livewell. Suggestions? Hate to be a whiner on my first post. Love the boat. Hate to return it to the dealer but will if I need to. |

Check the connection between intake and tank. Likely the O-Ring is not properly seating. The pump is PLENTY strong to pull the water up. |

Also confirm the scoop at the end of the intake tube is facing the bow of the boat. This way, when you're underway water is being forced into the intake tube. This allows the pump to prime on it's own once the tank is turned on. This is a fairly common oversight |
