I have a 2016 Hobie Outback. I bought it lightly used and after a month of usage the Advantage seat back mesh started to come apart. I brought the seat to my local Hobie dealer and he ordered the replacement seat back and then said it couldn't be installed because my tensioner knob was broken. They said they ordered it and after 6 and 1/2 weeks I got a call today and was told they don't sell the replacement part so I have to buy a brand new seat. That is ridiculous. The advantage ct seat is $479 bucks. The seat should last longer than a few trips. I weigh 190 pounds. This has to be a faulty design . The seat is a piece of junk. Thanks Hobie for not having parts available for your new seat. I would never buy a Hobie again. |

This doesn't sound quite right. If this was not simply damage... a used 2016 would still be covered by the 2 year warranty. Did you file a claim? 845081 BOA UNIT (List 9.50) I am told is easy to replace, especially when replacing the mesh. A couple of these were shipped to dealers in January. No other orders in the system... plenty in stock. |

Isn't it pathetic when someone comes here and bashes , gets proven wrong, and doesn't own up . I wonder if it was even a real issue or just a hobie basher. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
