Ok.. my old Mark4 lowrance is ready for an upgrade. I have a 2013 model PA14. I would like the latest scanning options if possible.. with the least amount of work that I'll need to do on the existing setup (I do not like drilling new holes in my kayak. Would like to have a 5" unit.. I'm often on the water for 6 hours in a stretch.. so battery life is important. Don't care if color or b/w. need water temp/gps if possible (need to see how "fast" I'm trolling around). waypoints and route mapping so I can get back to where the fish are! I fish in murky freshwater lakes usually, in weed beds often.. so the downscan would hopefully improve from my older unit. Suggestions? Anyone got a new setup w/5" finders that they really like or recommend? Let's stick to Lowrance tho if possible. |

If you're looking for side imaging capability, the Elite Ti series is what I would recommend. Of the units we offer in our catalog, the Elite 7Ti (part 72020206) is the only unit that comes standard with the TotalScan side imaging transducer. The Elite 5Ti (part 72020205) is compatible with the TotalScan transducer, but doesn't come stock from us this way. It comes from us with a skimmer style CHIRP + DownScan transducer. If you end up going with the Elite 7Ti with TotalScan, then Hobie Lowrance Ready TotalScan mounting plate will be needed to mount the transducer (part 72020207). |
