Hello I'm new to fishing with kayaks and I'm interested with the Hobie outback. Someone is selling a 2013 outback with Turbo fins, sailing rudder, custom seat, Lowrance 4DSI fish finder with battery and charger. Roleez cart. And I'm trying see the difference between this and the 2017 outback. Any info would be great.

Many differences....not sure what type of custom seat the 2013 has but from 2015 on the standard seat is a MAJOR improvement. It's like sitting in a lawn chair, up and out of the guaranteed pool of water you will get in the 2013.
Once I saw that I sold my 2013 and bought a 2015.
Other improvements:
Lowrance ready hull
Mirage drive can go in reverse.

I'm sure others will add comments as well. It depends on what you want, because the 2013 you are looking at comes with a good number of extra's that will cost you if you buy new.

Good luck with your choice.

I can't imagine not having the Mirage 180 drive myself. The reverse is more than useful when fishing.

I will never own a kayak again with out a raised seat. The vantage seat is an absolute must for me. If youve ever sat in water all day youll know what i mean. Plus you can see so much better being raised. I would definitely test drive both first.
