I have a tandem '13 mirage outfitter and would like to add a fishfinder to it. I need a H- rail add-on - maybe a 9in and would love any suggestions on which brand and model is easiest to mount and use. I would love one that doesn't require drilling. We will mostly be fishing fresh water that isn't deep and which type of transducer can be used here? Thank you in advance! |

What's your budget? I would say Lowrance hook 5di not sure of price $400-$500? I have an elite ti but that might be to pricey. Not sure about no drilling- I would assume you need to to attach the hrail and you either need to putty the transducer inside the hull or get a transducer arm I don't believe that kayak has the transducer ready feature like the PA OUTBACK and Revo. Did you mean the Outfitter? Answer is still the same but had to look for outlander but didn't see that model. |

If you hunt you can find the elite 5TI with the downscan (ie normal transducer) in the low 400s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thank you guys- we do not have a Lowrence ready bottom, think we need to find a mod specialist in central Florida to fix us up- appreciate the suggestions. |

You can mount in hull using our FishFinder install kit 72020101 and mount the transducer in hull. Down imaging transducers do just fine with this setup, but make sure there's no air pockets in the marine goop.
