Hi, Thanks for your time and expertise. Researching purchasing a 2018 Revo to replace older Revo. Interested in the upgraded seat and 180 drive. Read on another forum that some prefer the older “ bullet proof” drive. Just want to double check and ask is the 180 just as “bulletproof” as the older drive on my circa 2013 Revo? Thanks |

Its in version 2 phase to iron out some weakness in first release...I am sure it will keep being improved as anything that can go wrong will go wrong |

So long as you're not running into obstacles with the fins vertical or constantly dragging the fins over oyster beds, etc., they're darn tough. We always recommend Hobie Multi-Lube for servicing the drive: Hobie part #: 5120 HOBIE MULTI LUBE 1 OZ Hobie part #: 5121 HOBIE MULTI LUBE 4 OZ Here's two links that should be helpful as a general maintenance guide for keeping your Mirage Drive functioning at it's best.
