Hi,

Thanks for your time and expertise. Researching purchasing a 2018 Revo to replace older Revo. Interested in the upgraded seat and 180 drive. Read on another forum that some prefer the older “ bullet proof” drive. Just want to double check and ask is the 180 just as “bulletproof” as the older drive on my circa 2013 Revo?
Thanks

Its in version 2 phase to iron out some weakness in first release...I am sure it will keep being improved as anything that can go wrong will go wrong

So long as you're not running into obstacles with the fins vertical or constantly dragging the fins over oyster beds, etc., they're darn tough.

We always recommend Hobie Multi-Lube for servicing the drive:

Hobie part #: 5120 HOBIE MULTI LUBE 1 OZ
Hobie part #: 5121 HOBIE MULTI LUBE 4 OZ

Here's two links that should be helpful as a general maintenance guide for keeping your Mirage Drive functioning at it's best.
