Post subject:  Lowrance doubleshot vs tripleshot - No response

Since I have received no response to the questions below, can I assume that no one is using the Lowrance Tripleshot?

Jimmy

I have recently bought a Hobie outback 2019 and want to add a fish finder. Trying to decide between the Lowrance Hook2 doubleshot and tripleshot. I would hate to buy the double and later wish that I had bought the triple. So, my questions are:
1- do you feel the side imaging is useful.. the salesman at Basspro said the kayak rocks too much and makes it useless
2-I am concerned that, even though it retracts when you hit something, is it easy to damage the transducer when you do hit something. I can imagine running over a stump or limb and scratching the mess out of the transducer

Thanks
