I purchase the new livewell v2 end of last year, used it once- worked great. Stored it for the winter and finally got it out this year charged the battery and livewell will not turn on. Battery charger shows green light indicating fully charged- Is this a battery issue or something else?

Maybe try forcing some water through the pump to see if the impeller is stuck or use a voltmeter to check the battery. A battery left discharged over a long period can have difficulty taking a charge again. We have a charger that cycles and breaks that issue and allows the charger to charge it again.

OK. I'm assuming the livewell motor should turn even if there is no water running through the pump- please confirm. As far as the charger you speak of where can I get that? Don't see it on Hobie web site. Still confused why the supplied charger would show a green light indicating a full charge and the battery not be charged. Any thoughts on that?

It's a special charger for industrial use, but maybe an auto parts store could do it? A volt meter would be a good investment... they are cheap. $10-15 bucks.

The motor should turn. You can use 6 or 12 volts to check.

Guess I'll get a voltmeter. Honestly- I'm very dissapointed I'm having an issue after one use. This unit is not cheap. All be abuse I didnt keep the battery charged during a period of non-use? This does not pass the common sense test. How do I find out if the unit is under warranty? I've had it for less than a year.

It would be great if there was a li-ion battery available for the livewell. I probably would own one if that were possible. The 6v requirement makes it hard.
