I saw a mention (by Matt Miller) of ram mount bases that are going to be offered by Hobie to fit the narrower rails of the Revolution and wonder what the status is? Plan to order an new boat and would be interested in these for mounting rod holders. Thanks |

My buddy and I just set up mine with the Scotty flush mount holders and the extenders. This works mint and a better set up if you want to keep you rod tips low for trolling. |

Hey Bobert, Good to see you over here. There are already several 2 inch wide RAM mounts that should fit the Revo gunwales, both diamond and rectangular mounts. Check these out at KFS: http://www.kayakfishingstuff.com/Mercha ... ry_Code=rh |

We are awaiting our first delivery of Hobie specific Ram mounts. We have them kitted with narrow backing plates that are pre-drilled and tapped to fit the provided bolts. No washers or nuts needed. We will announce as soon as they become available. |

Thanks Matt The mounts listed unfortunately only have a 1" ball. The ball used (and needed) for the rod holders is a 1.5". I was hoping your new ones will come with larger ball rather than smaller 1". Backing plates would be nice as well although washers have been working OK for me. Thanks for reply and I will keep watching. Bob |
