My brother (TAK) and I hit the water on the beautiful Breckenridge Reservoir on Quantico Marine Corps Base last weekend and hooked up with our first bass in the new boats. It was a good afternoon. .jpg) TAK with a nice bass to kick-off the outing! .jpg) My bass were smaller, but I managed to boat three on that brief afternoon trip. (snapping a self portrait with a phone is tricky) .jpg)

Nice fish! It's more fun catching them in a kayak isn't it!!! |

It was an absolute blast! Totally comfortable and easy to maneuver into the shallow stuff -- just have to remember to keep the fins up. One of the hilights of the day was when I was sitting quietly in a small cove and a wolf walked into view on the hillside above the reservoir. With no leaves on the trees he was easy to see. When he heard my brother call me over the radio, he took off running. That was very cool. |
