The ocean fishing season is over so now it's hit the bays with the light tackle. The sand bass are starting to move in from the ocean kelp, spotted bass and halibut are also waiting.

Yep, if you want one of your body parts to be a bit larger than it is now, just stick it with a sculpin spine. There's usually not much meat on these guys, but they sure are tasty. This one was caught in SD Bay, the sculpin out in the ocean are a little bigger and more brownish in color. |

This little guy was caught at Lake Cahuilla near Indio. My first freshwater catch.
