Post subject: | Furler install issues due to Yak Attack tracks in the way |
I installed the furling kit on two of my Revos but I have Yak Attack tracks that the furling control lines rub on (leading edges). Are there taller fairleads that I can buy to clear the tracks, or should I jerry rig some sort of smooth, angled ramp to cover the square edge of the track? Also, it's a bit tough to get access to where I want to bolt on the pad eye for the control line bungee to hook on to. If I insert a Hobie rod holder I can hook it on to one of the molded loops. If I secure the holder to the hull with another cord, I think I can get away with not having to drill any more holes in my hull. Any issues with this idea? Thanks! |

staktup- Here is what I did. I rollerized my furling system by mounting Harken Cheek pulleys on the front and a regular Carbo Air on the rear instead of just going through the ring. The front pulleys are mounted on a Yak-Attack JK Hatch Accessory Plate- http://www.yakattack.us/AAP_1022_p/aap-1022.htm Everything is out of the way and MUCH Smoother! |
