Seems pretty solid even with the cracks. Worried I will get out in the ocean a bit and it will fail though. Should I try repairing it somehow? Or just carry a roll of duck tape with me? Or both? https://imgur.com/a/OhBRDWn |

The tape may not help you. It looks like the receiver housing came off the base during sail and the excessive force tore into the hull. May be something to reinforce the base to help keep the shaft housing stationary. |
