It’s in the mail so I haven’t tried it out yet and I don’t remember where I read the idea but I have some used billboard vinyl in the mail. Two 14’x23’ sections for $40 total plus shipping. Worth a try if you ask me! Goin to cut and fasten them together with eyelets or some other tarp fasteners. I’ll post the finished product

If you are laying it over the tramp, I would recommend cutting water drainage slits in the tarp. I put the Hobie factory tarp cover on my Getaway, and in the first big rainstorm both tramps sagged a lot from the trapped water.

I've ended up getting tons of the used billboard material - it lasts forever outside and sews fairly well. Cheap too. It's kind of tough; don't know how well it'll work for a cover, but I had intended to do the exact same thing with what I have left. I got black - not a good color for summer.

We cut one up for our 20. They work great!
