After a day of sailing when I go to unscrew the hull ports or remove the drain plugs there's definitely a buildup of pressure in the hulls. It either pops the port lids off or has a very uncomfortable sounding release of gas when the drain plugs are removed. Is this normal? Should I administer gas-x or monitor my boats diet a little closer? ?? tmason |

I would say it's pretty common to get a woosh of air coming out after sailing, especially if your boat is well sealed. There can be a sustantial temperature swing between the water and the air. If the water is much cooler than the air, when you pull the boat up onto the beach the hulls will heat up, sometimes rapidly. This will cause the large volume of air inside the hull to expand slightly and when you pop a drain plug, the air will come rushing out. sm |

That's good to hear, with the H16 the hulls are vented so i wanted to make sure there wasn't an issue. Thanks! tm |
