I saw a hand drawn diagram from mmiller of the bulkheads near the chainplates in an earlier post about chainplate bolts. Is there a drawing of the other(s)? Also: Can anyone suggest a good source for used F18 or F20 kites? Thanks! - Piper |

Thanks, Matt. That is very helpful. We are planning to do some long distance racing in the Pacific Northwest with our '97 H20 ((CCMP0523G697). There are big logs and "deadheads" in our waters, so we were considering tipping the boat up on the bows and injecting some foam there and around the base of the daggerboard trunks to prevent ingress of water in the event of a collision with timbers. Any thoughts on this idea? You wouldn't happen to have the key to those numbers assigned to the bulkheads in the diagram? Are they materials descriptions? Thanks for your help. |

Emailed the complete drawing. No opinion on the foam... seems unless flexible... it would also part in a hard collision. |

I seam to have some water trapped in front of one of the bulk heads. I can hear it when I have the boat on my beach wheels and tip forward and aft. My guess is that its forward of the Dagger-board bulkhead or the front crossbar bulkhead. Anyone have any advise on how to clear the bulkhead drains? I have tried teader-toddering the boat a dozen times without any drainage. |
