I've seen several different recommended lengths for the spinnaker pole on various forums. Does anyone know what the racers have settled on as the right length for the Hobie 20? Thanks! -- Piper

I found the published length for a Hobie 20 spinnaker pole in the support documentation here on this site. It is 11' 6", and that's what I'm going with. I'm having Skip Elliott design a kite that will sheet to the jib/tramp track just aft of the chainplates. Max luff will be 28' 6". Comments welcome!

It's easier and more tested and probably less expensive to use a standard F18 setup.

I have two hobie miracle 20's we just finished completely restoring...better than new...we also have three brand new spinnakers apparently specific to the hobie 20 (i didnt know there was such)...here are my questions:

1) pole length required? aluminum or carbon?
2) should I go with the hobie set up or the newer rigging style (http://gobarefootstudio.com/PDFs/SNU_H20Spin_1.pdf)
3) any other info would be extremely valuable

thanks!
