No support from Hobie for Tiger

Post subject:  No support from Hobie for Tiger
We were at the North American F18 event in Florida last week and needed a new Tiger main. Both Capricorn and Nacra had sent mains, spins and poles to the event host but Hobie hadn’t sent any Tiger parts. To make it worse, when i called Hobie in California to overnight a new sail and the response was sorry, no sails in North America for another 13 weeks!!!????
So is Hobie NA really interested is supporting the Tiger?

Yes, we support the Tiger.

Its not that we don't support the boat... We have a container of boats and parts due that has been in process for a long time. We ran out of mains I am told. That container will be here shortly.

The local dealer would have been the one to order parts for the event... as they did Nacra parts.

Simply another data point;

I had my first insurance claim for a boat a couple of weeks ago.

The parts were called into Hobie on a Friday.

On Monday, I called my dealer to make some changes to the order.
The factory sent a runner out to find the order, he came back and said that it had already been processes, picked, and had left the factory.
Damn :wink:
