SO guys i have managed to get my hands on a hobie tiger but i need everyones help. First it hasn't got any sails, daggerboards or rudders. I think i may have sources some daggerboards and maybe some rudders but i really need some sails. Anyone got any for sale or does anyone know if any other f18 sails fit? All the help would be mutely appreciated Cheers Will |

Hi, I have an old Tiger jib that I'd sell for $200 shipped in the US. It's pretty worn but works. If you have an email address I could send some pictures. Regarding rudders, you wouldn't have to use Tiger rudders. Any of the Hobie 14, 16, 18, 20 rudders should work. Mark |

Do you still need sails? I have an old composite main sail I might part with, let me know. I alos have a tattered spinnaker that wiht some repair would still be functional. |

I have a F18 blue spinnaker from a Goodall C2 in good condition. Purchased it from original owner who was freshening his sails for the next racing season. It is just too tall for my H18M, Paid $200, will take $150 plus shipping. |

Randy: my math says 8.70 = 28' 7" 7.79 = 25' 7" 3.80 = 12' 6" No idea what the 2.86 measurement is (approx. 9' 5").. SRM? anyone? I'll try and measure mine tonight or Weds to compare. |

Will, the replies might be a little more helpful if you describe what you plan on doing with your boat. Either race or recreational sail. If you plan on just recreational sailing then most of the thread is just fine for your info. I myself take a bit of pride in my ride so I wouldn't be buying any old rudder. the Hobie 20 rudders are notorious for breaking and splitting at the head so don't even bother there. the EPO rudders would be fine but anything else might not handle the loads or speeds. Check with your local Hobie dealer to see what they might have. Never buy used sails online without getting eyes on them before sending money. I bought a spinnaker from Canada but had a friend go look at it before sending money. it worked out great! pictures won't let you know if the sail is crisp or limp. Do a lot of research and check out the "Tame your Tiger" write up. Unless you have very deep pockets put a budget together, wait, if you had deep pockets you would have bought a new boat. Speaking of deep pockets you most likely will have to retrofit WildCat daggerboards or contact "Phil's Foil's" to have a custom set made. Not sure how many Tiger daggerboards are still floating around. I'm sure MM or JB can reply with weather they are still available. Hopefully this helps get you on the water with a nice ride.
