The least invasive way to install a strap is on the outside of the rear beam - drill out the small aluminum rivets holding the caps on and screw in the foot strap - DaKine makes some nice padded ones...that are adjustable via some velcro - that's what we use. Any sailboarding shop will be able to help. Just Google it.

I like the footstraps on the very back of the boat. Get the windsurfer straps that Jacques recommended, they work great. Screw the back to the transom, actually perpendicular to the water, and the front to the top of the deck where you think it should go. If you want an intermediate step we like to attach to the back of the rear crossbar and just behind that to the deck of the boat.

I think that in a blow Jacques puts his front foot in his strap, don't you Jacques? We have it set up for using only with the back foot.

Hi Rich,

I have a foot strap set-up like the one Jacques described, and will be at the Moss Landing Regatta if you'd like to take a look at it before you start drilling holes into your boat.

See you there...

By the way, is there a NOR for the Moss Landing Regatta? Can't seem to find one on line.

I'd be happy to help set up your spinnaker nesting unit. I should be pulling in to Santa Cruz/Moss Landing Friday - the Moss Landing Regatta sounds like a good time, see you up there...
