Post subject:  Boat Weigh in

Okay, I need some help in figuring out a way to weigh in boats before a regatta. We need to record the weight of hobie 18s and 20s.
What is the best way to do this? What kind of scale do we need, where could I get one, and any other advice any of you who have done this before could give.
Thanks in advance.

Jim Perkins was the weighmaster in Syracuse - go to the Fleet 204 web site - http://www.fleet204.com, go to the e-mail tab and scroll way down to find his e-mail.

He can tell you where he got all the stuff (especially the load cell that they rented).

That's the best way to weigh boats (A-frame w/ chain fall / load cell)

Thanks, they had a pretty slick operation there in the big tent. Didn't like all the laughing that went on when they weighed my boat, but still, a slick operation.
