So on the Portsmouth Index what do they mean by 1-up? ie. Hobie 17 (1-up) |

oh. ok thats what I thought but I thought it was kinda weird that it is listed that way since the one design rule is single handed anyways. |

Are you sure it's crew and not sails? Hobie 17 one up, stock 17, two up Sport or boat with second sail? Just a question. I tried to look it up on the handicap site, and couldn't really tell. |

The IHCA rules don't specify the number of crew, only that the minimum weight is 160 lbs. My daughter's first racing experience (at the age of ![]() "One-up" has always meant "1 crew person" in the parlance of the Portsmouth numbers. |
