Post subject: | Racing the Hobie tris and the pedal drive |
Hello all. I have just purchased a Hobie Tandem Island and intend to do some club racing with it. One assumes that the pedal drives must be removed for racing or it would otherwise offer the potential to do a bit of cheating. How does the tri perform with the plugs in place of the drives? I would assume that the daggerboard would be quite sufficient to limit slip. A little about myself: I am in my seventies and raced MORC many years ago until I bought a Brown 37' Searunner tri and the tippy boats in the club would not let me race with them. ![]() |
