| Post subject: | Hobie 16 spinnaker class legal? |
I'm thinking of asdding a spinnaker to my '86 Hobie 16. We race in local handicap races against Daysailers, Flying Scots, Lazers, ect. Is this class legal? If so, does it change the Portsmouth number? Thanks for your help. |

The Hobie 16 with spinnaker is not "Hobie Class Legal" however it is open class legal. there will be a different rating which can be calculated from the tables at ussailing.com. |

Forgive my ignorance on this. Does this mean that I can race with a spinnaker in handicap (open?) races? Also, Hobie 16 with a spinnaker was not listed in the Portsmouth numbers at the US Sail site. Where else might I find this number. Thanks for your help! |
