John, is there going to be a B class, or will all the 16's be together? I embarass easily racing with people that are actually good.

Last year there was a B fleet and trophies for 16 AND 14. :)
If we don't get new sailors involved it will be very lonely in a few years

We'll have a novice racing seminar on Saturday am.
Regardless of your skill level everyone is welcome.

Make this regatta your first of many more! 8)
After all, we're just a bunch of Hobie friends you haven't met yet.

Karl,

So far in 16B are

Ron B who has one regatta under his belt.
Matt B former crew, 1st race at helm (I'm crewing for him).
Paul E former crew, 1st race at helm (that's my boy!).
and Quinn L a FAST driver, his 1st regatta.

Shall we add you to the list?

More B fleeters in 16 & 14 needed!

I'm torn. Last year I did pretty well in B fleet. Well enough that I should move to A. But it was my first season skippering my own boat. I'm not sure what class I'll race. I don't want to sandbag B, and I don't want to get 2nd to last in A. I'll have to think on it a bit. I'm in regard-less, for the dagger-less

Post subject:  Tough choice

Karl:

That is tough. Back in 81 when I sailed I did real good in B fleet, top 5 always out of 25-30 boat starts, BUT A fleet was a whole new ballgame. Those guys are tough, no mistakes and was usually DFL or close. I would say stay a while until they ask you too.

Just my 2 cents.

Count me in for B fleet. Doug talked me into. In fact my arm kinda hurts from all the twisting. At least I won't have to worry about anyone doing a port start in B fleet. I'd hate to ding up that new boat.
