I got to speak with some a the Puerto Ricans at MadCatter last weekend. They are still planning to host the Hobie 16 Worlds next year. Unfortunately they are still working on securing the location so they can't make anything official yet. Stay tuned. |

I'm sorry to report that Puerto Rico has withdrawn their bit to host the 2009 Hobie 16 Worlds. |

I was really looking forward to that. My G.F. and I are planning a vacation down there in December, airfare is remarkably cheap. |

I guess we'll have to come up with another plan for '09 and give PR the time they need to get the project up and running the way they want to. Logistics for a major affair like that can be tricky I am sure. Don't be down of the PR guys, they did the best they could and will make it happen sooner than later, I am sure of it. |
