Has anyone heard of a trifoiler beach trailer? Graham |

The standard TF trailer has wide beach type tires, although they are fine for highway use as well. |

I understand that the trailer works in the sand. The problem that I'm having is that cars are not allowed on the beach, so I have to unhitch the trailer and then manually push the trailer -- usually by myself. When I finally get down to the water, and try to launch the boat, because the trailer is not attached to the car, even with help, the trailer usually launches too. Its even worse when I come back from a sail. I am losing helpers and looking more like a fool, trying to do it by myself. I remember that with my Hobie 16, I had a very light beach trailer that was a great solution to the same problem. I take it that there is no such trailer for the trifoiler. Other solutions I'm considering include, getting a raft and winching the boat onto the raft, or building a wooden ramp and then winching the boat onto the shore -- anything to make it a little easier. Not complaining, its still the best sailing experience I've ever had. Thanks, Graham |

Ditto - there remains nothing that can touch a Trifoiler on any performance front. However, it remains a bit of a PIA to launch and recover. All I can think of would be some type of lighter trailer/dolly that you could slip under the TF once it's assembled and ready for beach launching. But this won't be nearly as simple as a Cat dolly. |
