Post subject:  New Bravo owner; couple questions.

Just bought a new Bravo and I love the ease of setup. Have not gone out yet, but plan to soon. I have a quick question:

When the sail is fully unfurled, should the furling line be cleated when sailing, or should the mast be left to rotate?

Any other tips on Bravo ownership would be welcome and appreciated..

Thanks all.

Hey ebs675!

Congrats on your purchase!

I had my new Bravo out the last 4 days and I had the furler line cleated when the sail was out as per Hobie's instructions.

I think you would want a nice tight responsive coil around the mast for faster reactive purposes....just my thoughts as a rookie sailor myself.....I hope you have a great time with your new boat!

You should cleat it; I've had the sail try and furl itself going downwind when I didn't cleat.
