First sail went pretty well at Rock Cut State Park (Rockford, IL). I was trailer to water in 15 minutes (and I've never put a trailered boat in the water before)! Very light winds coming directly towards shore. I had to paddle out a little ways before I could unfurl the sail. Making the wide turns to tack as suggested here works really well and I didn't get stuck in irons. The Bravo jibes nicely as well. My only mistake was not noticing that the plugs weren't in until 30 minutes in! Very satisfied with the Bravo. She's a great little boat. Thank you Hobie! |
