Post subject: | A-frame filled with hot melt glue ? |
Hi Hobie I was checking the upper screw on the a-frame u part the one that goes into the vertical support (8030361 5/16-18 x 1.25 LG) I had to use a torch to heat it up to get it out, hot melt glue came dripping out the hole (the u is completely filled with glue) questions Is this normal to be filled with glue and how to install it back in place (it needs more glue) how did the factory originally install this screw Thanks |

It was polyethylene according to the Bill of Materials. This would have been inserted to help in the tube bending process which keeps the tube from collapsing during bending. I believe it is unnecessary to the function after that. |
