My daughter and I had a great weekend sailing on Lake Monroe...glad to see a 21SC out and an 18' too ![]() The last several weeks we been out on my 21SE,the rudders seem to "pop up" way too easy in heavy wind.We stopped and drifted a little while I swam around behind the boat and adjusted that plastic screw up tightening the cams and that did not really fix the problem. Is it time for new springs or what?Should I have loosen those plastic screws? One seems slightly more problematic then the other.I replaced those internal parts a few years ago and the those plastic screws do move.I remember applying some grease on those screws to keep them from seizing up. Any advise would be nice,Thanks ![]() |

Crank the screws in harder. Can't imagine doing that on the water! |

The harder it blows the tighter it should go Your rudder should not kick up in high winds I sliced a few jelly fish a few weeks ago my rudders did kick up a little early |
