Here is one little mod that I have not seen and wanted to post in case it helps someone in the future.
Here is my take on a Third Hand. This holds the tiller steady while I lift the motor and keep the rudders from flopping around while in the boatyard.
It is a Yakattack Kayak paddle holder on a little bracket held in place with the rear crossbar bolt.
