Has anyone tried to adapt the LiveWell for use on the INFLATABLE MODELS? I have the 12' model. Thanks, Dave |

Inflatables are very stable, so you might just have to use the seat tie-downs loops to secure the bait tank to keep from sliding. Just my thoughts. Good Luck |

The Hobie livewell is designed to use the scupper holes on the rotomold kayaks for intake/outlet. Check out this video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrnnObro ... ata_player The scupper holes on the inflatables are (much) smaller & different spacing (I think). They also seem to be angled on my boat. To use the Hobie livewell you'd need to adapt the intake & outlet to go over the side somehow. You'd also need to raise the livewell somehow to accomodate this. You might also need a way to prime the pump since the draw would be several feet rather than straight up a short intake pipe. It's a recurring annoyance that the scupper holes are so small & delicate on the inflatables. Aside from the livewell problem, I find the ride really wet, you can't use them to mount a transducer, can't use them for a stakeout pole, and can't use standard carts with them. Grrrr... |
