Hi folks, My wife noticed our sail batten was loose in its pocket, so we consulted the instructions on how to re-seat and tie it. They implied there should be a black batten cap which we should fit and tie to hold the batten in. Only... we have no cap - if it was there when the got the sail, it isn't now. Can someone in the know please confirm there should be a cap and, if so, the part number for the i-series cap so I can order one? Thanks! |

PeterWeb, I own a PA-14 and not a i-series inflatable......from what I can see, the batten is common among both the Mirage and i-series sail kit. From this file I found on line, http://static.hobiecat.com/digital_asse ... ailKit.pdf it shows the batten cap you describe. I looked up the Parts and Accessories sail info and found P/N 84509001 for the replacement batten cap...... cost less than $5.00 and the replacement batten is P/N 84511....cost less than$20.00. Hope this helps! |
