Hi Quick question on the i14t- the updated pictures on the product page indicates that the 8" hatch bow storage area is no longer present. Is this the case? If so, what was the rationale for removing it? Sure would be nice to have that enclosed storage area for day equipment for trips. Thanks |

The bow hatch area causes some issues for folding and is a structural challenge. The decision was made to remove it. |

Thanks for the quick reply- appreciate it. Any idea how big a dry sack can be stowed up front compared to the storage hatch? It appears smaller in the updated model although that could be completely wrong, of course. I've been looking at the i14t for solo 3-4 day camping trips, and tandem with the wife for day trip. We are in an apartment with no garage and a small crv with no roof rack or hitch. Also like the fact we can fly with it for trips home to UK. Love the idea of the mirage drive and can't wait to demo one in a few weeks. Have even been thinking about adding accessory mounts and hooking up a couple of diy outriggers and haka's for additional carrying capacity (thinking tandem 2-3day trips, 50 lbs max additional equipment). Plenty of ideas on the AI/TI forums, but wondering if anyone had thoughts on doing this on an inflatable? Cheers |

Same hull, so the area forward is the same. That should make space available for a bag that would have extended aft of the hatch version. Depending on the forward pedalers leg length... You can use all the space from just ahead of the forward most pedal position. |

Great, sounds good. How easy is it to attach a couple more pad-eyes up front so the bow bungee has 4 point attachment like the stern? Are glue-on pad-eyes available to purchase? Cheers |

Dear Matt, Although it may be easy to fasten the padeyes on to the i14T, making them secure is not easy. How you apply a 4-5lb weight for 12 hours is beyond my knowledge. The glue does not seem to be substantial enough to hold them secure. All mine how now come away from the body of the boat. And the boat is still under warranty. |
