Post subject:  Small puncture
Scraped my i11s with the tip of my knife today (bleeding a fish) and caused a tiny, less than 1/8" inch puncture. Reading the hobie manual, says I can fix leak without patch, just a drop of glue.

Is using a patch more permanent? I have no issues patching it up, but if there's no difference I'll go with just glue. Any input appreciated!

After reviewing the video of my trip, determined it was not the knife but fish spines that caused the puncture. I spent all summer fishing for flounder, first trip out for porgies (bream) and my boat sprung a leak. We're talking 1 - 2lb fish here!

Might have to devise some kind of fish mat, or fish box for unhooking these fish.

Thanks! I just need to figure out a size/shape that won't interfere with pedaling, maybe a plastic bin lid or something will work. I'm worried about hooks and mussel beds...never thought about fish spines going through the hull!

One good sized drop of glue, let dry, and your puncture will be sealed. My i11s has racked up a few puncture wounds from hooks and spiny fish.
Hobie should sell some larger pieces of the yellow material to glue down and double up the thickness of the side chambers just forward of the seat where you typically land fish.

Hmm, I went ahead and patched it, should've tried the glue drop first. The puncture is microscopic lol...

Thanks Roger! I'll test out the mat tomorrow, might have to secure it lightly at one or two points.

Btw, I sprayed some WD40 up the steering tube and right now it's smooth as butter...so thanks again!
