| Post subject: | Leak at scupper grommet on i12s |
My i12s has developed a leak at the underside at the scupper tube sealing grommet. I loaned out my i12s and it looks like someone stood on the scupper tube area while the kayak was being dragged out of the water over a sandy bank. The rubber grommet that surrounds the scupper tube is abraded right at the tube and has a 1/2" long slit through the grommet. I would like to attach a photo of it for clarity but I don't see how to upload one here on this site. It looks like this would not be a standard patch type repair so any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |
