Noticed this crack while washing my i11s today...I'd say this just happened within the last week or so, I do inspect the entire boat carefully once a week during fishing season. What caused this? How deep does it go? Does it need immediate repair? ![]() ![]() |

Hello, I found your post from 2017 because my i14t has a crack in the drive well too. How did it develop in your case? So far nobody responded to my topic too. ![]() https://www.hobie.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=65540 |

The wells are really tough... must have been highly stressed / crushed. If within 2 years, file a claim and we can see what can be done. If older the warranty manager may offer a discounted replacement hull. |

I have no idea how mine developed, I really babied that kayak. But luckily I was within the 2 year warranty period and Hobie sent me a replacement hull. I don't think there's fixing that crack in the drive well...hopefully Hobie will pro rate you a hull. They've been pretty good to work with in my experience. Good luck! |

Hello, it was interesting to read how your story developed. Mine has so far gone in a completely different direction. Hobie denies warranty. You can read the full story here: https://www.hobie.com/forums/viewtopic. ... 79#p315979 @mmiller: Nothing was highly stressed or crushed. Since I have also a slightly older i12 that was more often used without defects I should know how to properly handle the kayak. |
