I just got my i11s. I was wondering how many users have upgraded to the longer drive fins and was it worth the cost? Thanks |

Hey Jim: I have had my i11s for a little over a year and have been using it at least once a week except when all lakes are frozen in the winter. I had the opportunity at a Hobie event to swap in a drive with turbo fins and compared my speed on my Lowrance fish finder for both the standard and the turbo fins. I pedaled as fast as I could with both and increase 2 or 3 kts faster with the turbo fins. However, steering was more difficult. I believe Hobie also recommends a bigger rudder if you use the turbo fins. My 2 cents. Paul |
