Hi, Are there upgrade fins for this V2 Mirage Drive? a retailer says we have to upgrade the whole drive. Based on your photos, you presently have the "comfort fins" on V2 Mirage drive. I think to upgrade to the ST Turbo fins, you need 2 new threaded masts P/N 81198101 and 2 new ST Turbo fins P/N 81192001 (Gry/Blk) and some Blue Loctite P/N 8000341 For the smaller ST Fins, your present masts are used and replace with 2 new ST fins P/N 81193001. In one of your photos, the idler pulley cable is missing some of the black plastic cover, so replace it with V2 P/N 81203001. If you wanted to go "whole hog" and upgrade to the "GT Sprocket", then Hobie has a kit for that, P/N 81129123, GTT Turbo Mast kit. |

Dr.SteelheadCatcher is correct and your retailer is not. All you need are V-2 masts and ST Turbofins if you want Turbos, or just fins if you want the smaller ST fins. The Turbo upgrade kit (masts, fins and Loctite Blue) is 72066001 (gray/bk fins), 72066021 (red/bk), or 72066031 (Blue/bk). |

Just to be clear, the retailer was Austin Kayak and the discussion was through email. I have noted that others have had odd discussions with them through this method. thanks for your help |
