| Post subject: | 2020 i11S Turbo Fin Installation |
I just purchased a new 2020 i11S along with a set of turbo fins. The 2020 includes the Mirage 180 Kick-Up Fins. It appears there has been a change in the hardware that makes removing the standard mast impossible. (If you follow the directions for the replacement turbo fins and turn the mast, it just spins and does not twist out). After working on it for about an hour, I took it back to the dealer for some help. The dealer and his team were also unsuccessful in removing the mast (he also called another dealer who stated they couldn't get one out either). Their belief was that Hobie would be selling a new kit that included the plastic attachment to the mast for replacement. Has anyone had any luck with this? Or know if a new turbo assembly will be available for the i Series 180 Kick-Up Fins? Thanks for any help! |

KU drive? What turbo kit did you buy? Pretty sure the KU drive requires the "Sail Link" which the mast is part of. Attaches at the hinge screw. There is a kit specific to the KU drives. 72067032 TURBO FIN KIT - KICK UP |
