Long days of fishing/sailing can be a PITA.

This looks interesting - and very comfy. Doubles as a camp chair.

Anyone tried one out on a Hobie? Sounds like a job for Dogslife.

NOHUHU,

It looks like a nice seat but I am not sure that it matches my requirements.

1) Back Pocket: the construction of the Hobie seat well with the cross akka bar behind does not make this practical. I also like to release my straps and stretch out backward. With a dry bag behind the cross bar I can lay down by putting something (usually the jib bag) under my rear. This is good for a quick catnap. The Hobie back flexes so that it does not push into the back.

2) 1.5" Foam Seat: You can't beat the Hobie inflatable seat for comfort. I already have 1" of foam installed under the seat to keep me out of any water.

3) Camp Seat: I had a camp seat on my sailboat and never used it.

I have been trying to shave off every ounce of weight off my boat. A multihull performance suffers with weight. I have very little use for luxuries and have to pass on this one...

I know what you mean. Apparently, it will lean back if you want to take a snooze. In fact the issue with most non-Hobie seats is keeping them from sliding forward.

Here's short review:

That's quit an endorsement of the Hobie seat coming from you. We'll have to find someone else to torture test this one then.
