Post subject: | Main sail not furling tight? Possible solution |
I found that my mainsail tended to furl with the top batton pointing out for the last couple years. Always annoyed me. Today I played with it a bit an may have solved the issue. Surely others have had the same issue. Before fix... ![]() The solution seems to be loosening the tie on the top of the batton. If too tight, that's what happens. This is the after Fix appearance when furled. After fix... ![]() I don't know if this will effect the function of the sail in any negative way but I doubt it. I'll report back after taking it for a spin. |

Sailed with the batton change. It fund nice and tight all day and there was not problem with performance. I dId have it too loose though as the batton top came off during the sail. I just tightened it a bit tighter. |
