I've created an easy to use, super-fast bilge pump installation kit compatible with Hobie 8" Twist & Seal hatches. You can install a bilge pump and float switch in minutes without drilling holes and without using any glue or adhesives. With my mount, you can easily move the bilge pump to a different hatch or a different boat in minutes. The kit is designed to be used with specific bilge pumps and float switches so check with me before ordering your pump and switch. A detailed, simple to follow installation guide is included, along with a suggested materials list for additional materials you might need, like a discharge hose, thru-hull, battery, etc. The kit sells for $85 plus shipping, payable by PayPal or Venmo. We will work together to select a shipping option that meets your needs before payment. You can contact me at [email protected] or 719-499-0647. Thanks.

Not sure you will get much interest without a photo and more details (like is hatch and space beneath still usable, does it require a set distance or range between hatch and bottom...). Since it requires a specific float and pump, suggest your kit include those items as well as the other bits you noted. This "kit" seems to requires a lot of additional parts making it hard to understand what it actually contains.

I apologize for not responding earlier to your question. Someone just mentioned to me that there was a question on this forum I hadn't responded to. I very rarely go on this forum and spend most of my time and energy on Facebook Hobie forums.

I have no plans to include the bilge pump and float switch with my kit. I'm just a retired dude, not a business. The kit works with common Rule pumps that you can easily obtain locally or online. If I have to order them myself, I have to cover the additional shipping and tax to me, adding to the cost of the install. But I can sympathize with what you're asking. I just don't want to go to that level and have to carry inventory, track and pay taxes in various states and countries, file for tax-exempt status, deal with even more tariff B.S., etc. Anyone doing this install still needs to purchase a battery, waterproof box, bilge pump hose, discharge thru-hull, drill into their boat for the thru-hull, etc. Overall, it's a fairly involved project. My little kit just makes for a quick, effortless and robust way to install the pump itself, considering there aren't a lot of sturdy ways to install it in a plastic kayak, at least not sturdy enough to withstand smashing around in the ocean.

If you would like additional information regarding my bilge pump installation kit, you will find it here:

Take care.
