These are odd descriptions for Hobie 18 rigging.

Side stays (shrouds) are a single wire. There is no upper/lower.

The Headstay/Forestay is two wires. Upper (short) includes the swivel for roller furling. The lower is long.

There is no back stay on the Hobie 18.

I realized rigging relates to a different sailboat I owned after the Hobie Car 18
Sorry!
